Work with the president and follow up on all committees
Conduct meetings when the president is absent
Keep master calendar of all contest, SRL and Hiki No deadlines

Keep an accurate attendance daily
In charge of clerical responsibilities (letters, invitations, publicity, minutes, thank yous)
Post practice schedule, announcements, notices
Keep an updated roster of student info

Collection and distribution of all forms
This role is given the responsibilities of Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter posts

They also publicize , advertise, and do contests or pools to interact with our viewers,
followers, and other supporters.

EQUIPMENT MANAGERS (2-3)
What do they do?…
Make sure all equipment is accounted for (daily)
Organize monthly inventory
Create and post equipment room schedule

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER (2-3)
This role is in charge of our weekly Falcon Features show.

This includes monitoring our story progress, listening and approving pitches, keeping
our viewers interested and informed, and meeting our deadlines for our show.

Must form committee to write, film standups

In charge uploading falcon features to tvstudio drive and mwisstem website

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

This week, a group of STEMworks students have been refining their math skills with 3D printing using the program Fusion360.  They are currently in the process of creating wax stamps.  8th grader, Gwen Jaramillo, says, “You have to know the exact dimensions and measurements for the product to come out correctly.”

This week, the media students learned how to create a feature story.  They developed their interviewing, editing, time-management, and communication skills.  Each group created a feature story on a group member with the prompt, “What makes you special?”

On Friday, a group of students attended the AMOS (Advanced Maui Optical and Space Surveillance) Convention where they were able to meet scientist and  astronaut, Dr. Janet Kavandi, and had the opportunity to expand their understanding of science and technology from large enterprises such as Boeing and AGI.  8th grader, Hannah Okamoto, explained that she was, “really fortunate to be able to attend the AMOS Convention because I had the opportunity to learn many new things and I got to experience what it would be like to work in the scientific field.”

In media this week, the students teamed up to create ten shot sequences.  Each group was given a different media skill and had to create a step-by-step tutorial in just ten shots.

This weekend Jaycie Iha, Samantha Della, Hannah Okamoto, and Logan Tsukiyama took on Hiki No’s Fall Challenge. The prompt was “Walking in Another Person’s Shoes.” Their story was on a local cobbler, Teri Edmonds, who is the owner of “If the Shoe Fits.”
